I’m pro-life because my life as a church minister has been met with many experiences but among the most emotional is counseling with an African woman who is not able to conceive and give birth to a child. The wails and cries are more than those of the biblical Hannah. It is equally disheartening to counsel a post abortive case. Most clients are filled with remorse, anger, sadness and self hatred that can even lead to suicide. The life of a child is as sacred as its worth and nothing should be spared to keep it. Birth brings joy irrespective of how the child was conceived and it has proved easier to counsel a woman who gives birth to an unintended baby than those who are post abortive. I feel humbled by the good testimonies of those who change their mind and keep their pregnancies after counseling.
