I was married in 1966 at the ripe old age of 18! By the time I was 22 I had 3 miscarriages and doctors couldn’t figure out why—I was physically able and so was my husband at the time. Eventually we decided to adopt and God blessed us with a beautiful daughter who has since blessed us with 4 grandchildren who are my heart and soul. I love them beyond all other things in this world except my husband now. Anyone can have a child but not everyone can be a parent. Children are a blessing from God no matter how they come into your life and you are the one who nurtures their growth spiritually as well as naturally. My first husband and I took in approximately 25 children of other parents for different periods of time. Some for a few weeks and some for many years throughout our 33 years of marriage. Our door was always open and I don’t regret helping any one of them. I love people of all ages and my grandmother used to say that when I was born God gave me the heart of a Mother of many. God gave us children to fill his world and he gave us choices on doing that and I feel every baby deserves a chance! That is why I am pro-life.
